Completion requirements
My names are Mathipa Theophilus Malepe, I am from Limpopo in a township called GaSekororo in a village called Mandela Village. I am a student at the University of Johannesburg. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Education degree doing my first year, I believe in empowering learners with the digital literacy, critical thinking, and ethical awareness necessary to navigate and shape the modern world. In an era driven by information and technology, CAT is not just about teaching software tools, it is about equipping learners to become adaptable, responsible, and innovative digital citizens.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in three core principles:

1. Learning by Doing
I embrace a hands-on, practical approach where learners actively engage with real-world problems using technological tools. I design lessons that encourage experimentation, project-based learning, and collaboration, allowing learners to develop confidence and competence in applying technology to everyday contexts by integrating scenarios that reflect life outside the classroom.

2. Equity and Inclusivity
Every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background or starting point. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where all learners feel valued and included. I differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and access needs, ensuring that technology serves as a bridge to opportunity rather than a barrier.

3. Digital Ethics and Critical Thinking
Technology must be used ethically and thoughtfully. I incorporate digital citizenship, data privacy, and information evaluation into the course to help learners make informed and responsible choices online. I encourage them to ask critical questions about the impact of technology on society, preparing them to use their skills for positive change.

Ultimately, I see myself not only as an instructor but as a mentor, and facilitator. I aim to spark curiosity, inspire lifelong learning, and help learners recognize their potential to contribute meaningfully to a digital world.
